FIRST - For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology
FIRST was founded in 1989 by inventor Dean Kamen with the core philosophy of teamwork hoping to inspire students in technology and engineering. The main mission and vision of the FRC, FIRST Robotics Competition, is to help high school students use hands-on science, technology, and engineering, while incorporating traits such as leadership and communication skills.
